Spain okays Cimpor aggregate extraction in Campi├▒uela

Portuguese cement maker gets access to resources closer to its local operations.[$]

The company plans to source aggregates needed for cement production in the area which is cheaper than material sourced in the province of Cordoba.

An article by Eljadecordoba reports that approval for the plan was granted despite negative comments from the government of Andalusia local governments usually have final say over projects in their jurisdiction.

The approval of the project also blocks other new permits from being granted in the area to avoid environmental damage. {/reg]
