The new product was presented at the Mayfair Hotel in Bhubaneswar.

Tata Steel their Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBS ) at the Mayfair Hotel in Bhubaneswar, India, in front of around 40 potential customers, reports Orissa Diary.

GGBS is a by-product of blast furnace slag, that can be used as a partial replacement of Portland Cement, up to 70 percent, therefore reducing the cost of concrete.  Concrete made with GGBS has a higher ultimate strength, a low permeability, and it is resistant to chloride and sulphite attacks.
