According to AzerNews, 8,500 tons of bitumen, produced at the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery of the State Oil Company, were transported to Ukraine by a subsidiary company of Azerbaijan Railways, ADY Express.

The cargo was loaded on 130 tank wagons that went from Azerbaijan to Georgia and then to Orlovshchina and Vasilkov stations in Ukraine, by ferry.

Such cargoes should continue to be regularly delivered between the two countries, since the transportation is part of a joint project of ADY Express LLC and SOCAR's Marketing and Economic Operations Department.

In the first seven months of 2020, 59.3 percent of Azerbaijan's bitumen exports were headed to Georgia and amounted to 33,900 tons.
