The two tug-of-war between two major Kenyan cement manufacturers, Lafarge-controlled Bamburi and Athi River Mining (ARM), continues over dominance of the regional cement market. Instead of perusing the Kitui site contested by both companies for its lime deposits, ARM sues Bamburi, moves ahead with plans to build a new plant in Tanzania and restructures its operations, said the East Standard.
