Company reaps rewards of recycling fly ash due to development of a sustainable business model.

[reg} Ash Resources has announced that it was satisfied with the result of the process for extracting fly ash from thermal power stations. Fly ash is a waste product that the company has found a way to extract from flue gases given off by burning coal.

An article by PR Log reports that the company credits this technology with building the company's sustainable business model.

The company's technology allows it to collect it from power stations: sell it dry without any processing, add water for transportation, or pass it through a classifier.  Classifiers are value added products made out of the fly ash like concrete. The article reports that the company said that their technology eliminates an environmental hazard by utilizing the ash rather than just dumping it.

Fly ash in particular the article adds has seen extensive use as a cement extender. Fly ash helps reduce the costs and CO2 emitted in cement production. {/reg]
