If you do not already have a CW Group account, please register. ┬á Kazakhstan-based Ust-Kamenogorsk CHP (UKTETS) is planning to use ash and slag to manufacture cement, reports KT. UKTETS is likely to coordinate with Bukhtarma Cement Company (BCC) for the effeciecnt use of ash for cement production. The companies have starting testing of 100 tons of ash and slag waste to gauge its suitability of cement production. ÔÇ£Currently, the existing ash dumps UKTETS is about one and a half million tonnes of waste ash and slag. This is an excellent building material, and we look forward to working with the BCC and other construction companies,ÔÇØ said Toktar Aktaylakov, Director of repairs at UKTETS. ÔÇ£ÔǪfor reuse of the material for the development of the regional economy. At the moment our specialists work on selecting the best project for the extraction of ashes on an industrial scale ", he added.
