KLAW Industries was able to expand its pozzolan business with the help of a U.S. EPA grant, reports Resource-Recycling

KLAW Industries received a $400,000 Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant in November 2022, one of several companies to do so. The building material supplier, based in New York state, used the funds to create a method for partially replacing cement in concrete with post-consumer glass. Studies have suggested that the growing end market for consumer glass can reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and it is expanding across the nation.
