Changes could destablize construction sector

In Pakistan, The Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders urged the government not to change the property tax, reports Daily Times. They say the move might destabilize the construction industry.

Traders would resist any changes in the property tax mechanism because it will significantly damage the real estate sector, according to Shahid Rasheed, Patron, Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders.

Rasheed also claimed that since the economy was not performing well, the construction sector should not be targeted.
