The recycling facility, located in the industrial zone of Can Prunera is set to treat the waste product of Celsa steelworks in Castellbisbal. According to a report by Expansion, the new facility in Vallirana may treat 520,000 tons of waste annually, primarily resulting from the process of scrap steel making electric furnaces. This waste will be converted into artificial aggregate suitable for use as feedstock in the production of asphalt, concrete and other civil engineering applications.
