Building materials firm buys asphalt production and construction company for undisclosed sum.

 

 

{reg}A building materials company recently furthered its presence in Salt Lake City Utah.

According to a report on Business Wire, the company, Summit Materials, recently formed another regional platform in the city following its acquisition of Utah-based construction company Harper-Kilgore.

Harper-Kilgore was formed after the merger of asphalt-production company, Kilgore Paving and Maintenance, and the construction assets of Harper Companies.

Summit CEO, Tom Hill, said that this acquisition enhances the company's services in the state which he complemented on being a favorable business environment.

According to the report, Summit Materials started last year. It was founded by Hill and several investors.{reg}
