Recent handling and ship movements

 

 

{reg}Karachi Port Trust (KPT) reported handling 180,338 tonnes of cargo in the past 24 hours, comprising 50,554 tonnes of imports and 129,784 tonnes of exports. Key imports included 77,186 tonnes of containerized cargo, 3,850 tonnes of rock phosphate, 2,968 tonnes of soya bean meal, and 45,780 tonnes of oil and liquid cargo. Exports included 18,609 tonnes of containerized cargo, 3,645 tonnes of cement, and 28,300 tonnes of clinkers. Additionally, 6,842 containers were processed.

Various vessels berthed at KPT, such as Wan Hai 627, One Matrix, and others, while some departed, including GFS Pride and New Friendship.

At Port Qasim, ten ships operated at berths. One, MSC Madeleine, sailed out. Five more ships are expected to depart soon. Port Qasim handled 151,471 tonnes of cargo in the past 24 hours, including 4,701 containers (2,776 TEUs imports and 1,925 TEUs exports). Twelve ships are anchored at the Outer Anchorage, with some scheduled to load/offload various cargo types at different terminals. The containership SSL Mumbai is due to arrive on September 1, 2023.

These updates reflect recent cargo activities and ship movements at both Karachi Port and Port Qasim.[/reg]
