In the past 48 hours, KPT handled a remarkable 334,638 tonnes of cargo, comprising 223,884 tonnes of imports and 110,754 tonnes of exports. This impressive feat highlights the port's efficiency and capacity to handle diverse cargo types, including containerized cargo, bulk cargo, chickpeas, DAP, rock phosphate, wheat, and oil and liquid cargo. PQA, on the other hand, handled a cargo volume of 162,336 tonnes in the last 24 hours, with imports accounting for 124,267 tonnes and exports totaling 38,069 tonnes. The port efficiently handled 3,350 containers, demonstrating its capability to manage high container volumes. Despite global economic uncertainties, Karachi and Qasim ports continue to operate at full capacity, demonstrating their commitment to supporting Pakistan's trade and economic growth.
