According to brecorde, the Karachi Port Trust and Port Qasim have been actively engaged in handling significant amounts of cargo.

Over the past 48 hours, the Karachi Port Trust handled a total of 275,255 tonnes of cargo, including 210,521 tonnes of import cargo and 64,734 tonnes of export cargo. The import cargo consisted of containerized cargo, bulk cargo, chickpeas, and oil & liquid cargo.

On the other hand, the export cargo comprised containerized cargo, clinkers, mill scale, and oil & liquid cargo. A total of 7,195 containers, with 3,599 containers for import and 3,596 containers for export, were handled during this period.At Karachi Port, several ships have berthed and sailed, including vessels such as Msc Rafael, Oriental Cosmos, Ever Ulysses, Gulf Barakah, Apl Salah, Anbien Bay, Doctor O, and Northern Decency. Meanwhile, at Port Qasim, 7 ships were engaged in the past 24 hours.

Some of the ships that left the port were Maersk Shesapeake, CMA CGM Figaro, and MSC Rafaela, while ships like Olita, Zeze Start, and Maran Gas Asclepiu were expected to sail. The port handled a cargo volume of 179,902 tonnes, including imports and exports, and 4,381 containers (2,084 TEUs for imports and 2,297 TEUs for exports) during this period.{reg}
