The fourth cement and lime conference in Brazil sets high benchmark as well-attended event brings industry together. The CW Group presents on the cement sector in South America.

The 2011 event brought together Latin America and the world for a review of technical updates and discussions in one the world's hottest cement markets, Brazil. The hundreds of attendees made the event one of the best attended in the world, with a very high participation of professionals from the cement industry, notably in Brazil.

The IV Brazilian Cement and Lime Seminar took place on in June 9th and 10th, 2011, at the Anhembi Convention Palace in Sao Paolo, Brazil, with opening remarks from Votorantim's industrial operations director Edvado Araujo Rabelo. Votorantim, which also was the main sponsor of the seminar, fielded a substantial set of delegates as well as did many other important cement manufacturers in Brazil.

Mr. Robert Madeira, the  Managing Director and Head of Research at the CW Group, which is also the parent of CemWeek, presented highlights from recent research on the state of the Latin American cement sector. The presentation was a non-technical addition to the event that helped provide context around the industry as well as ground optimism in facts around past, supply-side and thoughts on the outlook.

Host Mr. Adriano Greco, CEO of A TEC GRECO, and team did a great job as usual in bringing together the South American industry as well as equipment suppliers from around the world, including Fives FCB, Loesche, Scheuch, Bedschi, Claudius Peters, Donaldson, Hazemag, as well as Brazil's cement industry association ABCP / SNIC. We look forward to another great event in 2012.
