According to CW Research, India's imports of uncalcined petcoke slightly exceeded 0.8 million tons in February 2016 with cement companies representing about 61 percent of purchases.

ÔÇ£Chinese petcoke ban may not affect the market and the prices as strongly as was anticipated initially. Since the international prices will not be highly affected, India will continue its consumption of imported petcoke," said Sushmita Rai, Sr. Associate Analyst, CW Group.
