India's Power Crisis

Despite a slowdown in India's economy during the past few years, energy demand continues to grow. India is regarded as the fourth-largest energy consumer worldwide, following the U.S., China and Russia.

Meeting the country's energy demand has been an uphill battle for years. Although the government and the private sector have been looking for a resolution, both sectors have been unable to address the supply shortage.
