LafargeHolcim's 3Q net sales increase double-digit in Latin America

Mexico delivered strong margins

In Latin America, LafargeHolcim delivered a strong performance on the back of positive sales growth, translating to a 25.6 percent year-on-year increase in operating EBITDA compared to the prior year. Sales of cement were up 9.5 percent in 3Q and 3.2 percent YTD. Net sales rose 12.0 percent in the third quarter and 9.1 percent YTD.

Mexico delivered continued strong margins and earnings as the business delivered on its commercial strategy despite the impact of September's earthquakes on economic activity. Operating EBITDA for Ecuador improved as well, while in Argentina, commercial initiatives helped deliver another quarter of earnings growth.
