 Shree Cement announced that its September cement shipment increased by 26,7% compared to that of the same month last year.

The company sold 598.000 tons during the month, up from 472.000 tons in September 2007. During the second and third quarters of 2008, shipments increased by 23,3% to 3,49 million tons, up from 2,83 million tons a year ago, according to the company. The firm has a capacity to produce 8 million tonnes of cement annually at its plant in the northern state of Rajasthan.
