Figures fot the 2Q2017

Operations in the United States reported net sales of USD 916 million in the second quarter of 2017, an increase of 4 percent on a like-to-like basis from the same period in 2016. Operating EBITDA reached USD 170 million in the quarter, an increase of 19 percent on a like-to-like basis versus a gain of USD 156 million in the same quarter of 2016.

Globally, net sales reached USD 3.6 billion during the second quarter of 2017, an increase of 2 percent on a like-to-like basis for the ongoing operations and adjusting for currency fluctuations, versus the comparable period in 2016. Operating EBITDA decreased by 8 percent during the quarter to USD 696 million versus the same period in 2016. Operating EBITDA adjusted for working days, reflecting the effect of Holy Week and Ramadan, declined 5 percent during the quarter on a year-over-year basis.

The increase in consolidated net sales on a like-to-like basis was due to higher prices of our products in local currency terms in Mexico and the U.S., as well as higher volumes in our Europe region.
