Vietnam-based Sai Son Cement Joint Stock Co (SCJ) said it would list about two million shares in a secondary offering with a combined value of VND19,85 billion ($1,2 million) on the Hanoi Securities Trading Center.

HeidelbergCement, Germany's biggest cement producer, dropped the most in at least 19 years on concern its billionaire owner Mr. Adolf Merckle may be forced to sell his large position in the company to support one of his investment vehicles.

Cemex Philippines, the country's third-largest cement maker, said that it is forecasting flat sales this year view of what the firm's public relations director described as "uncertainties" in the market, including the impact of a tariff cut.

Benue Cement Company based in Nigeria reported results for the period January through September showing a 119% rise in revenues, compared to the same period in 2007.
