Local cement producers and private companies are able to fulfil demand for cement in the country, reports Newsabah. The Minister of Industry and Minerals, Mohammed Darraji, discussed the overview of the Iraq cement sector at the forum. Iraq has 22 cement plants and they plan to expand their production capacity to 30 million tons per year. He also discussed the obstacles regarding the production and marketing of cement in the country.
