Anhui Conch Cement to set up new cement plant in Sverdlovsk, Russia

China-based Anhui Conch Cement plans to build a greenfield cement plant in the Sverdlovsk region of Russia, reports Glagolurfo. The company will be investing nearly 85 percent of the total project cost, which is around USD 300 million.

The cement plant will be able to produce around 1.2 million tons of cement per year. The new cement plant will be manufacturing ordinary Portland cement, as well as grouting and white cement. The Chinese cement company had signed an agreement for the new cement plant with the Russian government in October 2013.
