Dangote Cement to go ahead with its expansion plans

{reg}African Cement companies are expecting a fall in cement prices due to the oversupply of cement in the markets and cheap imports, reports IPP media.

Africa has become one of the world's fastest-growing regions for the building material as rapid urbanization and spending on transport, power and shipping boost demand.

Dangote Cement and LafargeHolcim Africa will go ahead with their expansion plans. Cement prices in Zambia have fallen by 20 percent.  LafargeHolcim is well positioned to serve the continent's construction needs. Some other countries, like Tanzania, are expecting a fall in cement prices due to cheap imports which are likely to disturb the dynamics of the local market.{/reg}
