CemWeek Magazine just returned from Brazil, where we attended the CBI Brazil & Latin America conference, hosted by GMI Global in Sao Paulo, Brazil, at the Hilton Morumbi Hotel. As a main supporter of the conference, CemWeek Magazine was delighted to be involved in an honorable initiative and a premiere for the CBI events: the ÔÇ£Dr. Clemente Greco Best Cement & Lime Project AwardÔÇØ. The award is a distinction offered by GMI Global with the support of CemWeek as a tribute to the great professor Clemente Greco, an important figure of the Brazilian Cement Industry. This issue of CWM features a special coverage article on the meeting. Furthermore, CemWeek Magazine presents two special features brought by CW Group's research team: the First Half 2014 Global Cement Volume Forecast Report (GCVFR) and the First Quarter 2014 Global Cement Trade Price Report (GCTPR). Key findings of the reports, recently released by CW Group, can be found in the articles. In addition, issue 19 of the magazine presents the most relevant events that have happened in the past two months worldwide, covering all regions of the world, and the Research & Analytics section, showcasing the latest cement and cemenergy figures and developments.
