{reg}Dsmart GmbH, a company specializing in the distribution of innovative fruit and vegetable packaging for the European market, presented their waterproof paper bags for table grapes at Fruit Attraction in Madrid. Established in 2015 and headquartered near Montabaur in Beselich, the company manufactures its packaging in its own factory in China's Guangdong province.

These paper bags for table grapes, available in two sizes (1 kg and 500 grams), have gained traction since their launch last year. Managing Director Huiliang Dan reported their growing popularity, particularly in traditional grape-growing countries like Italy and Spain. Notably, Dsmart's paper bags are finding favor in Europe, where the shift towards sustainable packaging is evident. In contrast, the United States continues to rely heavily on plastic packaging.

Dsmart GmbH participated in both Fruit Logistica and Fruit Attraction this year, attracting customers with their competitive pricing due to low production costs in China. However, they are planning to establish a factory in Germany to enhance responsiveness, offer shorter transport distances, and better serve their customers.
