Sappi’s platinum sustainability status was verified by EcoVadis

On April 21, 2023, Sappi announced that all three of its manufacturing regions - Europe, North America, and South Africa - achieved platinum ratings, in the annual EcoVadis Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) ratings, according to the company.

EcoVadis is a ratings agency for business sustainability performance, and this achievement places Sappi in the top 1 percent of the companies assessed. As part of their sustainability efforts, Sappi is reducing waste, emissions, and optimizing material and resource use at every opportunity. They are also using the EcoVadis platform to assess the sustainability practices of their suppliers.
