Valmet announced on their website the launch of Valmet Residual Measurement sixth generation

Valmet has introduced the sixth generation of its Valmet Residual Measurement, called Valmet Polarox6. This update aims to enhance the bleaching process by optimizing the addition of bleaching chemicals, protecting process equipment, and improving measurement and control accuracy.

One of the key updates is the integration of the Valmet Bridge user interface, which is a touch screen control platform commonly used with Valmet sensors. This interface offers comprehensive diagnostics and enables connectivity with Valmet's Industrial Internet services. It provides an intuitive way to access transmitter operation and Valmet's remote services.

According to Timo Laurila, the Business Manager at Valmet, this update ensures the durability and advanced connectivity of the Valmet Residual Measurement, making it suitable for various pulp bleaching applications.

Valmet Residual Measurement provides immediate information about the bleachability of pulp. When installed before the bleaching tower, it relies on pre-chemical consumption (feed-forward) to quickly respond and adjust chemical addition controls. If installed after the bleaching tower, it measures the residual bleaching chemical, offering precise feedback for chemical dosage control and safeguarding process equipment.
