Mondi acquires Hinton Pulp Mill

Mondi has agreed to acquire the Hinton Pulp mill from West Fraser Timber for USD 5 million

According to Paper Age, Mondi plans to invest EUR 400 million to expand the mill, primarily for a new kraft paper machine, which is expected to be operational in the second half of 2027.

This acquisition will allow Mondi to integrate operations in the Americas and ensure a long-term supply of high-quality kraft paper for its paper bags plants in the region. The transaction is subject to regulatory clearance and is anticipated to close by the end of 2023.
