The decision will affect the competitiveness of the products of the Point Tupper mill in Nova Scotia, Canada. The Point Tupper mill used to manufacture super glossy paper, which is used for calenders and newsprint. The company had a unit in Maine, which was shut down in 2012 due to increased competition and high maintenance costs. In July, Point Tupper mill faced allegations of selling its products at unfairly subsidized prices and levied 20.33 percent tariff on products sent to America. The Department of Commerce has analyzed each component of the allegation and would announce its decision in this week. Sign in Don't have any account? Create one SHOW Forgot your username/ password?
