American Forest & Paper Association and the MidAtlantic Printing and Graphics Association have come together to highlight sustainability successes

{reg} The President and CEO of the American Forest and Paper Association, Donna Harman, and MidAtlantic Graphics and Media Association Jay K. Goldscher, brought together lawmakers and representatives from the forest products industry to highlight sustainability successes and discuss policy measures which can support the expansion of industry and job creation, according to AF & PA.

According to Donna Harman, "With 44 wood product, pulp, paper and paper packaging facilities, Maryland companies are key players in our industry. They have consistently contributed to industry sustainability successes, including a 66.8 percent paper recovery rate for recycling and greenhouse gas Emission reductions of 16 percent for member facilities "

Lawmakers at the MidAtlantic Printing and Graphics Association agree that companies' use of sustainable manufacturing methods enables them to produce essential products by ensuring that renewable resources are used to make them available to future generations.
