The unit uses eucalyptus chips to produce pulp. When operating at full capacity in September, the pulp mill will be able to produce up to 2 million tons per year.

The delivery agreement of the key technology for the new pulp line was signed by CMPC and Valmet in June 2013.

At todays price, around $700 a ton, will have a turnover of $1.4 billion a year.{/reg}
