India's West Coast CFR prices for high sulfur petcoke rallied in August 2017, with mid-sulfur petcoke prices expanding as well at a similar pace, according to CW Research's India Petcoke CFR Price Assessment update for August.

The average cost of burning high sulfur petcoke is at a premium of 27+ percent in August 2017, on an mmBTU basis, when compared to Richards Bay coal for the West Coast. In the previous month, the premium rate was at 24+ percent.

There were no reported congestions at the ports around India, and the top importer from the cement industry in the previous month was Ultratech.

The extended August update of the India Petcoke CFR Price Assessment also includes refinery and cement production in India and the United States, market and refinery updates, the outlook for the next three months, and more.

The monthly update is available as an annual subscription in individual or corporate license forms.
