If you do not already have a CW Group account, please register.   According to the Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Khalid Al-Hanafi, only Misr Cement Qena managed to reduce its cement prices in January, reports Alwafd. Several other cement companies were unable to reduce the cement prices. Misr Cement Qena reduced its prices in several regions of Egypt. The Minister also mentioned that the average production and supply of cement declined in January. The average production volume, per week, was 999,178 tons, whereas the supply was 1,000,989 thousand and 119 tons. The cement sales amounted to 967 thousand and 956 tons in the domestic market. On the other hand, the average production in the last month was 1,000,053 tons per week, total supply reached to 2,000,044 tons and around 997 thousand and 710 tons was supplied in the domestic market on a weekly basis.
