New IsoTherming technology at Quanzhou refinery

DuPont Clean Technologies has partnered with SinoChem to introduce their new IsoTherming technology, a great optimizer for various mixtures of distillates and heavy gas oils, including coker blends, to their Quanzhou refinery in China.

This is the world's largest unit of its kind, according to Energy Global, with 11 of the 25 licensed ones operating commercially. This new IsoTherming technology offers lower capital and operating costs while it reduces the amounts of sulfur in the finished product, focusing on Diesel but with several impacts in other areas such as petcoke, kerosene and GTL (gas to liquid) and heavy oil upgrading, among others.

The IsoTherming capacities range from 1500 bpd up to 80 000 bpd processing feedstocks like 100 percent kerosene, light-cycle oil (LCO) and various mixtures of distillates.
