CW Research: Petcoke CFR prices in India hike in September
India's West Coast CFR prices for high sulfur petcoke rallied further in September, with mid-sulfur petcoke prices expanding as well at a similar pace, according to CW Research's India Petcoke CFR Price Assessment update for September.
The average cost of burning high sulfur petcoke is at a premium of 18 percent in September, on an mmBTU basis, when compared to Richards Bay coal for the West Coast. In the previous month, the premium rate was at 27+ percent.
There were no reported congestions at the ports around India, and the top importer from the cement industry in the previous month was Shree Cement.
