CW Research: Petcoke CFR prices in India slip in February
India's West Coast CFR prices for high sulfur petcoke had a marginal decrease in the month of February 2017, with mid-sulfur petcoke prices contracting as well at a similar pace, according to CW Research's India Petcoke CFR Price Assessment update for February.
The average cost of burning high sulfur petcoke is at a discount of 31+ percent in February 2016, on a mmBTU basis, when compared to Richard Bays coal for the West Coast. In the previous month, the discount rate was at 36 percent.
There were no reported congestions at the ports around India.
