High sulfur petcoke prices increased about 3 percent MoM for the Indian CFR West Coast, while mid sulfur petcoke saw pricing increase by more than 1 percent on both the East and West coasts. Domestic petcoke prices surged 3 percent MoM, reports CW Research in its September update of India Petcoke CFR price assessment.

 

Petcoke imports by cement companies have decreased MoM by 10 percent in July. The BDI surged 7 percent in September compared to the previous month, with no congestion reported at the Indian ports.

The average cost of high sulfur petcoke is still at a discount of 15 percent when compared to coal, at its average cost per calorific value.
