July Persian Gulf-Arabian Sea cement FOB prices decrease 6%+, clinker prices decrease 7%+
The CW Research's July update to Persian Gulf ÔÇô Arabian Sea and East Africa Cement and Clinker price assessment shows Persian Gulf-Arabian Sea FOB prices for prompt deliveries have registered monthly decrease. In terms of bulk ordinary grade clinker, export prices decreased by more than 7 percent.
The report also shows East African CFR prices for cement decreased by one percent in comparison with last month.
ÔÇ£Middle Eastern traders faced effects of the Ramadan season during the month of July, which led to lower trading prices. The situation in the region is, however, expected to slightly recover in the next month,ÔÇØ explains Raluca Cercel, Consulting Analyst with the CW Group's European team.
The report includes Pakistani and Iranian cement production concerns, as well as Saudi Arabia export strategy and East African cement import needs.
The monthly report also includes details about shipping indices tendency and its reasons of dry bulk.
