Med Basin cement and clinker FOB prices rebound in March

In the Mediterranean Basin region, FOB prices for prompt deliveries of bulk ordinary Portland cement and clinker recorded a single-digit improvement when compared to the previous month, according to CW Research's March update of Mediterranean Basin cement and clinker prompt delivery cargo price assessment.

Commenting on the price development, Ana Almeida, Analyst with the CW Group's European team, observed: "In the Med Basin region, cement and clinker producers are struggling with high production costs, since the prices of electricity, fuel and raw materials have been elevated in some markets."
